THE TRAVEL SHOP IS SEEKING AN IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

Location & Contract

Airlie Beach, Whitsundays, Queensland.

On-site preferred, with options for remote work periods.

Casual/part-time roles available, with the potential to upskill into a full-time role.

Your Role

• Managing, maintaining and optimising internal IT infrastructure
• Installing, configuring and supporting our internal systems, including Microsoft Exchange, Google Workspace and collaborative platforms such as Slack and Asana
• Coordinating access to weekly online company meetings Undertaking in-office operations including management of Wifi, networks, printers and computer troubleshooting.
  Managing data storage including NAS drives and cloud storage
• Providing technical support to staff and onboarding setup for new staff
• Monitoring performance of computer systems and networks
• Ensuring system security through preventive measures and regular maintenance
• Communicating with external IT vendors and service providers
• Assisting in the planning and implementation of IT projects
• Optimizing our systems according to up-to-date technology and IT practices
• Working in a collaborative team environment with high-level responsiveness

Your Profile

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Proven experience in IT systems administration, particularly with Google Workspace and Microsoft Exchange
• A strong understanding of computer network administration and installation
• Excellent problem-solving, organisational and analytical skills
• An ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with IT companies looking to scale up operations is preferred
