IT Systems & Data Specialist

The IT Systems & Data Specialist is responsible for supporting and enhancing the company’s business applications, systems, databases and data reporting capabilities. The role works closely with business users, stakeholders and vendors to troubleshoot system issues, manage system enhancements, analyse data and drive continuous improvement.

The role will also provide support for SAP Business One, SQL, sales systems, data analytics, reporting and IT projects, ensuring reliable data, efficient processes and effective technology solutions to support business operations and decision-making.

· System & Application Support
Provide day-to-day support for SAP Business One, Sales applications, web portals, databases and mobile applications.

· System Interface Support
Monitor and troubleshoot interfaces between internal and external systems to ensure data accuracy and continuity.

· SQL & Data Management
Develop and maintain SQL queries, perform data extraction and analysis, and ensure data integrity and query performance.

· Reporting & Business Analysis
Prepare management, sales, vending machine, costing and performance reports, including ad-hoc analysis for management.

· System Changes & Vendor Management
Review change requests, prepare RFQs, and coordinate with vendors and stakeholders on system enhancements.

· Cash System Support
Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to the Cash System.

· Sales & Product Planning Support
Manage sales transaction monitoring, product issue planning, recommended issue quantities (RIQ), product allocation and promotional settings.

· Demand & Seasonal Planning
Support demand forecasting, product allocation and operational planning for peak periods, including Chinese New Year.

·  Process Improvement & Project Support
Identify process gaps, resolve operational issues and participate in system enhancement, UAT, implementation, documentation and training.

· Business Controls & Operational Support
Monitor business processes for compliance, support governance initiatives and provide after-hours assistance for critical systems when required.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Preferably with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Hands-on experience in SQL queries, database management and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Access, including queries, data extraction and reporting.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Experience in business application, system interface and database support.
• Knowledge of SAP Business One (SAP B1) is an added advantage.
• Experience in UAT, issue tracking, change requests and system enhancement projects is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in the food manufacturing or FMCG industry will be an added advantage.
