IT Systems Architecture Executive

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled IT Systems Architecture Executive to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide IT architectures. Duties

• Develop and maintain comprehensive enterprise architecture frameworks aligned with business goals using standards such as TOGAF.
• Design scalable, secure, and efficient system architectures incorporating service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, and cloud infrastructure solutions like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Lead solution architecture efforts for complex projects involving cloud architecture, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and application development across multiple platforms including Windows, Linux, and Unix.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system design patterns, APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), RESTful web services, and integration strategies using technologies such as JavaScript, Python,.NET, T-SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle databases.
• Oversee the deployment of software solutions ensuring adherence to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), ITIL best practices, information security standards, and DevOps methodologies.
• Conduct analysis of existing systems to identify opportunities for optimization through new technologies like NoSQL databases (MongoDB), MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle.
• Manage project timelines and resources effectively to deliver high-quality system architecture solutions that meet organizational needs while maintaining compliance with security policies related to data protection and cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in enterprise IT architecture design with a focus on system architecture, solution architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices architecture, design patterns, and system design principles.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure (Microsoft’s cloud platform), including cloud security practices.
• Proficiency in containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and management.
• Familiarity with programming languages including JavaScript, Python, Java,.NET frameworks; experience with API development using RESTful services.
• Solid understanding of operating systems including Windows and Linux; experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database Management System (DBMS), Microsoft SQL Server.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines; experience with tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Excellent analysis skills to evaluate complex systems; ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions effectively.
• Relevant certifications such as TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture credentials are highly desirable.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: £78,000.00-£105,000.00 per year
