IT Systems Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an IT Systems Engineer to support business-critical healthcare software solutions used by hospitals, clinics, and healthcare organizations worldwide.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on the IT systems and platform components that support our software solutions. You will work with servers, databases, operating systems, integrations, and related technologies to ensure customer environments remain reliable, secure, and available when they are needed most.

As the technical escalation point for complex system issues, you will investigate and resolve problems that extend beyond application functionality, including database, server, performance, integration, and infrastructure-related incidents.

You will work closely with customers, Application Support Engineers, project teams, and software developers to investigate issues, implement solutions, and support the successful operation of our systems.

While experience in healthcare IT is an advantage, it is not a requirement. We are primarily looking for a technically capable engineer with strong troubleshooting skills, a solid IT foundation, and a willingness to learn new technologies and business domains.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support for customer environments and software platforms
• Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues involving databases, operating systems, servers, integrations, and application infrastructure
• Investigate and resolve application, database, server, performance, and connectivity issues
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain server and client software
• Support software deployments, rollouts, migrations, and system updates
• Analyze logs, system behavior, and technical data to identify root causes and implement solutions
• Configure and maintain application integrations and interfaces
• Assist customers with operational issues, performance optimization, and system configuration
• Work with databases, certificates, and security-related configurations
• Collaborate with Application Support Engineers, development teams, product management, and project teams on issue resolution and product improvements
• Create and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge base articles
• Participate in an on-call rotation for critical incidents

About you

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Good understanding of Windows Server, networking, and database fundamentals
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across applications, operating systems, databases, and networks
• Experience supporting software applications, IT systems, or enterprise environments
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
• Fluent in English

Experience with One or More of the Following

• Windows Server administration and troubleshooting

• PostgreSQL, SQL Anywhere, or other relational databases

• Software deployment, rollout, upgrade, and migration projects

• SSL/TLS certificates, OpenSSL, PowerShell, Keytool, or related administration tools

• Client-server and web-based applications

• Software integrations and interfaces

• Log analysis, performance monitoring, and root cause investigation

We don't expect candidates to have experience with every technology listed above. We value strong troubleshooting ability, a solid IT foundation, and a willingness to learn.
