IT Systems Engineer

eSudo Technology Solutions is seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to support, maintain, and improve business IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience with system administration, network services, cloud technologies, and troubleshooting complex technical issues. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient IT solutions.

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will help configure and maintain servers, manage system performance, support cloud and on-premises environments, and implement technology improvements that meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and related systems.
• Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot operating system, hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Support cloud infrastructure, virtualization platforms, and remote access solutions.
• Implement system updates, security patches, and configuration changes.
• Maintain backup procedures and assist with disaster recovery planning.
• Investigate technical incidents and document resolutions.
• Collaborate with IT support and network teams to resolve escalated issues.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, infrastructure diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve system security, reliability, and performance.

Requirements

• Experience in systems engineering, systems administration, or IT infrastructure support.
• Knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with virtualization, storage, and backup technologies.
• Understanding of system security, access management, and patch management.
• Experience with monitoring tools and technical troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and work effectively with a team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, or Microsoft Entra ID.
• Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization technologies.
• Experience with scripting using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Familiarity with endpoint management, cybersecurity tools, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft, CompTIA, or Cisco credentials.
