IT Systems Engineer

PK Tech is seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to help design, implement, maintain, and secure business technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience managing computer systems, networks, cloud environments, and IT security while providing reliable technical solutions for business operations.

In this role, you will work with technical teams and clients to maintain IT infrastructure, troubleshoot complex system issues, improve system performance, and support secure technology environments. You will contribute to infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, system monitoring, and ongoing IT improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and business IT systems.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and overall infrastructure health.
• Troubleshoot operating system, hardware, software, and network issues.
• Administer Microsoft Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and user accounts.
• Support cloud infrastructure, including Microsoft Azure services.
• Implement system updates, security patches, and configuration changes.
• Manage access permissions, endpoint protection, and security controls.
• Assist with data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Document system configurations, technical procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaborate with support teams to resolve escalated technical incidents.
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and IT projects.
• Help maintain security and compliance requirements for business systems.

Requirements

• Experience in IT systems engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure support.
• Knowledge of Windows Server, desktop operating systems, and network fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, identity management, and access controls.
• Understanding of DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with system monitoring, patch management, and backup solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and colleagues.
• Ability to manage priorities and collaborate with a technical team.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and endpoint management.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity monitoring and incident response.
• Experience with virtualization, disaster recovery, and backup technologies.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks and secure IT practices.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure, CompTIA Network+, or Security+.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
