About us
TOM Intelligence builds AI-integrated software that runs real businesses starting with Xtra Mile Couriers, a logistics company whose dispatch, tracking and invoicing all run on our platform. We're a small, technical team, and we're bringing our IT in-house after years with an outsourced provider. This role is the person who owns that.

What you'll do
You'll be the first point of contact for around 20 staff, office and remote, and the person who keeps everything they rely on running securely:

• Microsoft 365 end to end Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, licensing, Power Automate flows
• Windows and Mac setup and management (Intune / Apple Business Manager), encryption, patching, approved-app policies
• Cybersecurity endpoint and email protection (ESET, Mimecast, Datto RMM), monitoring alerts, investigating and responding to incidents, and running staff awareness training
• Backups (Veeam for M365) and actually testing restores, not just watching the dashboard
• Azure administration and cost control, plus our Google Maps API project
• Networking: firewall, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, domains, broadband supplier
• Identity and access MFA, least privilege, joiners/leavers/role changes
• Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001: maintaining controls, evidence and audits
• Documentation, asset registers, business continuity planning
• Leading the handover from our current provider in your first few months

Who we're looking for
Someone who's run IT for a small business before and is comfortable working with a small team. Practical, calm when something breaks, and happy to write things down. You should have:

• 2 years in an IT support/sysadmin role, ideally MSP or SMB
• Solid Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration
• Hands on with both Windows and macOS management
• Azure experience (or strong desire to build it)
• Genuine security experience you've handled incidents, hardened environments, and done Cyber Essentials (or could get us through it)
• Good communication with non-technical people

Bonus: scripting (PowerShell/Python), ISO 27001 exposure, interest in AI tooling we use Claude based agents across our stack and you'd be working alongside developers building them.
