IT Technical Specialist

We are looking for a proactive and reliable IT Technical Specialist to help set up, maintain, and support our internal systems and technology needs. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and building IT infrastructure from scratch.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for

• Administer, configure and maintain Microsoft 365 services, including Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams and Copilot, ensuring secure and efficient operations.
• Design, create and manage SharePoint sites, document libraries, lists and permissions, while developing automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate to improve business efficiency.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, including routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, cloud services and network connectivity.
• Set up, manage and support Windows and macOS devices, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, software installations and endpoint configurations.
• Provide 1st and 2nd line onsite and remote technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software, network and system-related issues to minimise operational disruptions.
• Implement and maintain information security controls, including identity and access management, multifactor authentication, endpoint protection, EDR solutions and device compliance.
• Manage and monitor backup and recovery solutions, ensuring data availability, integrity and business continuity.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including user account provisioning, access management, device configuration and IT asset management.
• Research, evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI tools, automation solutions and AI agents, to improve business processes, productivity and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, develop and support IT policies and procedures, coordinate with external vendors, and prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has

• Extensive, proven hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 environments is mandatory, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint and Microsoft Teams, alongside practical knowledge of Microsoft Copilot.
• Proven experience in an IT Technical Specialist, Systems Administrator, IT Support Engineer or similar role, with the ability to independently manage and troubleshoot business IT systems.
• Strong experience designing and managing SharePoint sites, lists, document libraries and permissions, alongside practical knowledge of workflow automation using Microsoft Power Automate. Experience developing Power Apps is an added advantage.
• Strong networking knowledge and practical experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP networks.
• Demonstrable experience administering, configuring and troubleshooting both Windows and macOS operating systems, alongside strong knowledge of cloud technologies and infrastructure.
• Sound knowledge of information security principles and hands-on experience with endpoint security, EDR solutions, identity and access management, vulnerability management and cybersecurity best practices.
• Practical knowledge of backup technologies, data recovery procedures and business continuity practices.
• Familiarity with modern AI tools and their business applications, including advanced prompting, AI-assisted workflows or AI agent development.
• Excellent problem-solving, research and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate new technologies, recommend process improvements and provide effective onsite and remote technical support.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present reports, explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, manage competing priorities and work independently. Relevant Microsoft, networking, cloud or cybersecurity certifications are an added advantage.
