IT Technical Supervisor

About the role

Macondray Finance Corporation is looking for an IT Technical Supervisor to lead our IT team and ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of our systems and infrastructure. This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional with a background in systems administration, network engineering, cybersecurity, and team supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage an IT team
• Ensure the security, reliability, and efficiency of systems and infrastructure
• Manage cybersecurity operations and related specialized IT security tasks
• Oversee data protection, security, network connectivity, and disaster recovery
• Manage multiple priorities effectively

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Engineer, IT Security Specialist, or similar IT role, preferably at a supervisory level
• Proven experience in leading and managing an IT team
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows servers and corporate network security tools
• High-level knowledge of data and systems management, including data protection, security, network connectivity, and disaster recovery
• Experience in cybersecurity operations and related specialized IT security tasks
• Basic scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation and infrastructure management
• Strong leadership skills, with proactive initiative and a high sense of accountability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical and security issues in simple, clear business terms
• Highly organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
