What they need

Who we are and what we offer:

Interested in shaping skylines across the globe?

Multiplex is a premier construction company with a simple purpose: to construct a better future. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to help deliver some of the world's most iconic projects, supported by approachable leadership and an inclusive culture that puts our people first.

With 110+ colleagues in the Multiplex Global IT division, we have roles across the full IT lifecycle from designing IT solutions, delivering change projects, to the business-as-usual running of our IT infrastructure, all while ensuring we are safe, secure and compliant.

You will also have access to a range of holistic benefits including:

  • Bonus schemes, annual remuneration reviews and salary continuance insurance.
  • Health and Wellbeing programs, including annual voluntary skin and health checks.
  • Benefits to support parents and families, including 20 weeks paid parental leave regardless of gender, payment of superannuation on unpaid leave, and transition coaching.
  • Professional career development opportunities and a wealth of learning offerings through the Multiplex Learning Academy.
  • An industry-leading approach to flexible work to enable better work-life balance.

Who we're looking for:

Based in our Melbourne Head Office, our IT Technical Support Engineers are critical to delivering exceptional technology support across both corporate and project site environments. Acting as the face of IT, you'll provide hands-on support across hardware, software, end-user devices, workplace technology, AV systems, and network infrastructure, ensuring a seamless technology experience for our people.

This is a dynamic, fast-paced role that combines day-to-day technical support with the mobilisation and ongoing support of project sites. A key focus of the role is establishing new site-based technology environments, including end-to-end IT, AV, and network infrastructure, ensuring sites are operational, connected, and ready to support project delivery from day one.

You'll bring experience in Technical Support, Service Desk, End User Computing, or IT Infrastructure roles, with strong technical knowledge across Windows and Apple operating systems, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, Intune, mobile device management, and networking fundamentals. Experience supporting site-based operations, coordinating vendors, managing technology assets, and deploying collaboration solutions such as Microsoft Teams Rooms will be highly regarded.

Success in this role requires a strong customer-service mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll be proactive, adaptable, and capable of taking ownership of issues while contributing to the continuous improvement of technology services across the business.

The successful Candidate will be a self-starter with exceptional problem-solving skills, including:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma of Information Technology or equivalent (preferable).
  • Previous experience as Deskside Support Engineer or similar IT services/support (preferable).
  • Experience with hardware refresh activities, including laptops and mobiles
  • Exposure to configuration and troubleshooting of Microsoft Office Suite and utilisation of help desk management and remote assistant tools.
  • Exposure to PC hardware replacement and repair, enterprise workstation deployment and configuration, troubleshooting client network connectivity issues, and configuration of networked printers.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Experience with device provisioning, onboarding/offboarding, and asset management
  • Experience in support for site relocations and decommissioning activities

A note on diversity:

We're committed to building a workplace where people of all genders, cultures, identities, abilities and life experiences feel they belong. We welcome applications from people of all genders, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally diverse communities, LGBTQIA+ communities, people with disability, and veterans.

You don't need to meet every requirement to be considered so if this role sparks your interest and you want to help build a better future, we'd like to hear from you.  We're committed to a barrier‑free recruitment experience. If you need any adjustments, simply let our Talent Acquisition team know.
