IT Technician / Technical Support Specialist

Location: Paseo de la Reforma, CDMX.

Note: Base office is located on Paseo de la Reforma, with availability to provide support at various branch locations in the State of Mexico.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Availability outside regular working hours and occasional Saturdays if required.

Work Model: On-site.

Salary: $25,000.00 MXN gross monthly.

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive, analytical, and results-oriented IT Technician responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure, hardware, software, and telecommunications. The main objective is to ensure operational continuity across all locations and provide efficient technical support to internal users.

Key Responsibilities

• Configuration and Support: Configure workstations, computer equipment, peripheral devices, phone lines, PBX/switches, CCTV, and videowalls.
• Networking and Communications: Develop, manage, and maintain local networks (LAN/WAN), optimizing performance and ensuring TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and DNS / XAMPP / Hosting services.
• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: Organize and schedule hardware/software updates, maintenance, and repairs without impacting operations.
• Information Security: Ensure security, data privacy, and protection against cyberattacks (phishing, malware, ransomware, DoS, zero-day attacks, etc.).
• User Support: Resolve 100% of internal tickets/requests in a timely manner, and train staff on the proper and safe use of IT tools.
• Backup Management: Execute data backup and recovery plans.
• Inventory: Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs, and identify needs for equipment or infrastructure upgrades.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related fields (recent graduates with prior experience or degree holders).
• English: Advanced conversational level (essential). (Mandarin proficiency is a plus).
• Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in Technical Support, Network Administration, and IT Infrastructure. Job stability.
• Advanced Technical Knowledge in:
• Microsoft 365 (Outlook, OneDrive, Office).
• Windows Server, Linux.
• Hardware/software setup for networking, telecommunications, CCTV, and videowalls.
• Troubleshooting critical hardware failures (overheating, power supplies, processors) and software issues (service unavailability, slow server response times).
• Driver’s License: Desirable.
• Key Competencies:
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving under pressure.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Organization, analytical thinking, and crisis management.

Desirable (Certifications):

• CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
