IT Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IT Technician to join our technology support team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems. Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other hardware components.
• Manage and resolve issues related to operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Support network infrastructure by diagnosing and resolving problems with LAN (Local Area Network), TCP/IP protocols, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and network connectivity issues.
• Assist with Active Directory management, including user account creation, permissions, GPO (Group Policy Object) configuration, and account troubleshooting.
• Maintain help desk systems by logging incidents, tracking resolutions, and ensuring timely follow-up on customer support tickets.
• Support software troubleshooting efforts for applications such as Microsoft Office suite and other enterprise tools.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, hardware upgrades, and component replacements to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with team members on IT infrastructure projects involving computer management, server administration (Windows Server), and network security enhancements.
• Communicate clearly with users to understand technical issues and provide effective solutions while maintaining excellent customer service standards.

Experience

• Proven experience in providing IT support within a corporate or organizational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows support, including Windows Server environments.
• Hands-on experience with computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, LAN setup, DNS configuration, VPNs, firewalls, and network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with macOS and Linux operating systems is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware issues related to computer hardware components and peripherals.
• Experience managing Active Directory accounts and Group Policy Objects (GPO).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
• Ability to analyze problems quickly and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
