IT Technician

Wesley Media has been a leading supplier of software solutions & specialist media delivery systems in the UK for over 25 years.

We are currently recruiting for a ICT Support Technician.

Responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting & diagnosing issues with both software and hardware.
• First point of contact for IT and systems support.
• Talking clients through a series of actions via phone, email or chat, until the issue is solved.
• Providing prompt & accurate feedback to customers.
• Prioritising & managing several open issues at one time.
• Following up with clients to ensure their systems are fully functional after troubleshooting.
• Assisting with the preparation of system hardware & software.
• Identifying solutions to software & hardware issues.
• Logging incidents using CRM.

Candidates must be proficient in the use of:

• Windows 10 & Windows 11.
• Microsoft 365 or Office 365.
• Network terminology & configurations.
• Maintaining accurate records.

Knowledge or experience of the following would be an advantage:

• Router configuration.
• Anti-virus software.
• Microsoft Active Directory.
• Azure/SharePoint configuration.
• Experience in an SLA support driven environment.
• Full clean driver's license.
• VOIP/ Phone system management.
• Linux competency (Pi systems, some servers, Synology NAS devices).
• Use of SQL.

The candidate will have the following attributes:

• A passion for IT, ideally with support experience (however we will consider applicants without prior experience).
• Must possess a “can do” attitude.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Working hours are Monday to Friday between 08:00-17:30 on a rotating shift pattern. Additional Out-of-hours and weekend work will sometimes be required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
