IT Workshop Engineer | IT Build Engineer

Salary: £27,500 to £30,000 DOE
Location: King’s Lynn, Norfolk
Reports to: Service Desk Team Lead
Working pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, full-time and office-based.

Key responsibilities

• Build, configure and prepare laptops, desktops, tablets and mobile devices.
• Enrol and configure devices using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
• Follow documented customer build standards, security requirements and deployment procedures.
• Test devices and complete quality-assurance checks before dispatch.
• Install, configure and validate customer-specific applications.
• Ensure devices meet Workplace IT and customer security standards.
• Package equipment securely and prepare it for collection and delivery.
• Maintain accurate build, configuration and testing records.
• Assist with stock control, goods-in processing and asset management.
• Support Provisioning with change-management and provisioning tickets when build workloads allow.
• Work with Service Desk, Projects and Customer Success on deployments.
• Help improve build, testing and deployment processes.

Skills and experience

• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Able to follow documented processes.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Able to manage multiple builds and deployments simultaneously.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows.
• Intune and Autopilot experience advantageous.
• Device build, configuration or deployment experience beneficial.
• Understanding of basic hardware, software and networking.
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Professional, reliable and positive approach.

• 60-minute face-to-face interview in King’s Lynn.

Pay: £27,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
