IT Technician

You will join our technical team and support our clients day to day. This means helpdesk tickets, remote support, and site visits to client offices. You will work with the team of technicians.

What you will do

• Take support tickets, fix what you can, and keep the ticket up to date until the client confirms it is solved.
• Support users on Windows PCs and laptops, printers, and phones: set-up, faults, updates and new-user onboarding.
• Support Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace: mailboxes, Outlook profiles, licences, shared mail and Teams.
• Do site visits to client offices for faults, installations and new equipment.
• Do the daily backup checks for clients (local, NAS and cloud backups), take screenshots, and raise any failure.
• Look after endpoint security and remote monitoring alerts on client machines.
• Help with network work: routers and firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi access points, and basic cabling.
• Write clear ticket notes and talk to clients in plain language.

What you need

Must have

• 2+ years experience in IT support or a helpdesk role.
• Good knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Basic networking: IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, Wi-Fi.
• A valid driver's licence and your own reliable transport for site visits.
• Good spoken and written English, and a calm, friendly manner with clients.

Nice to have

• A qualification such as CompTIA A+ / Network+, or a Microsoft 365 certification.
• Experience with an RMM and ticket system, endpoint security tools, and backup products.
• Google Workspace, VoIP or CCTV experience.

Pay: R10 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
