IT Technician

Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and skilled Level 1- 2 IT Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing mid-level technical support, troubleshoot, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in IT support, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide desktop support for end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly.
• Manage firewall configurations and ensure network security protocols are followed.
• Utilize ServiceNow for ticketing and tracking technical support requests.
• Assist in computer networking tasks, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Support various operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS, ensuring compatibility and performance.
• Offer technical support via help desk services to resolve user inquiries efficiently.
• Conduct network administration tasks, including monitoring network performance and connectivity.
• Troubleshoot TCP/IP issues to maintain seamless communication across devices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in desktop support and technical support roles.
• Familiarity with firewall management and network security practices.
• Experience using Connectwise would be preferable.
• Strong understanding of computer networking principles and practices.
• Proficiency in various operating systems, particularly Windows and Mac OS.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills to effectively assist users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN's.
• Assist in backup and recovery processes, as well as data management tasks.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends, tools. and technologies.
• Prior experience in similar industry is beneficial
