IT Technician II

Role
Typically needs 2 or more years of experience and handles more complex end user support needs. Provides escalated IT support services to staff and clients. Keeps the network computing systems operating efficiently and assure, that computing standards are implemented and enforced; Troubleshoots and resolves system problems and assists with project management research, implementation and system administrative duties.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Installs, supports, documents, and manages the email/hardware/software/network components; responds to and develops solutions for component failures and complex technical problems in all these areas to deliver a sound and stable computing infrastructure as directed. Manages the daily administration of data backup and security controls across enterprise.
• Collaborate with VP of IT and other staff to provide support for the Company's network and PC/LAN servers which includes planning, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network and system hardware and software; work with users and vendors solving technical issues.
• Consults with VP of IT, supervisory staff, and other various staff to assure that IT standards for control, security, and recoverability are understood and followed; coordinates with other staff to assure that appropriate IT computing standards are implemented and maintained; manages software upgrades to assure compliance with standards and control procedures.
• Administers all user access and authorization requests within the organization, including moves, adds, changes, hires, exits for technology systems. Assists Facilities with office moves, office setups, and similar requests. Administers vendor and contractor access and authorization as well.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills

Experience: Two to Five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
Education/Certifications/Licenses: A high school degree or GED is required.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.

Other Skills
Maintain knowledge with training in BSA Compliance - every staff member is required to uphold the credit union’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Customer Identification Program (CIP), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies and procedures. This includes required BSA reporting. Specific functions such as tellers and front-line staff within Spero Financial will take into consideration the awareness of unusual or suspicious activity that is relevant to the department and report such activity. In addition to any other assigned training courses, BSA, CIP, OFAC and AML related courses must be completed at least annually, as made available by the Training and/or Compliance Departments. Required to maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Identification Program, USA Patriot Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control requirements. Comply with all Spero policies and procedures to ensure compliance with such regulations.
