Technician / Network Engineer

Salary: Up to CI$75,000 per annum, depending on experience

A well-established media company in the Cayman Islands is looking for a talented Technician / Network Engineer to join its growing technical team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across IT, networking and media infrastructure, with some major projects coming up as the company continues to grow.

The Role

This is a hands-on technical position supporting the company’s day-to-day operations while also playing an important role in upcoming infrastructure and technology projects.

Responsibilities will include:

• Installing, configuring and maintaining network and IT infrastructure
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity and network issues
• Supporting users and technical teams across the business
• Maintaining switches, routers, Wi-Fi, servers and related infrastructure
• Supporting media, broadcast and AV-related technology
• Monitoring systems and maintaining reliable, secure and high-performing networks
• Assisting with infrastructure upgrades, new installations and exciting upcoming projects
• Documenting systems, configurations and technical procedures
• Working with suppliers and external technical partners where required
• Providing occasional out-of-hours or on-call technical support when necessary

About You

The ideal candidate will be technically capable, practical, reliable and curious, with a genuine interest in technology and strong problem-solving skills.

You should have:

• Experience in a network engineering, IT technician or similar technical role
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a growing team
• A willingness to learn and take on new technologies

Eligibility

Applicants must be Caymanian, a Caymanian Status Holder, RERC holder, or Permanent Resident with the right to work in the Cayman Islands.
