IT Windows System Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Windows Server & VMware Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in Windows Server administration, VMware vSphere virtualization, and Azure Cloud. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting server infrastructure while ensuring system availability, security, and compliance with established IT standards.

The candidate should have practical experience in PowerShell scripting, patch management, Active Directory, Group Policy, file servers, and infrastructure monitoring, along with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, configure, operate, and maintain Windows Server environments.
• Administer and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, server infrastructure, and related IT tools.
• Manage and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including virtual machines and virtualization infrastructure.
• Perform server provisioning, configuration, maintenance, and routine health checks.
• Plan and implement Windows Server patches, security updates, and system upgrades in accordance with patch management best practices.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive administrative tasks.
• Provide first-level support for IT server infrastructure and troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
• Monitor server performance, storage utilization, system availability, and infrastructure health.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, user accounts, permissions, and file server access.
• Support Azure Cloud infrastructure and assist with cloud-related administration and troubleshooting.
• Ensure systems comply with established configuration baselines, security policies, and IT infrastructure standards.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure issues while minimizing downtime and service disruptions.
• Collaborate with international IT teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth infrastructure operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, BCA, or equivalent qualification in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional IT experience in server administration and infrastructure support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and virtualization technologies.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud services and infrastructure.
• Practical experience with PowerShell scripting and task automation.
• Strong understanding of patch management, security updates, and vulnerability remediation processes.
• Good knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, file servers, user permissions, and access management.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls.
• Experience with server and storage monitoring, performance troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in an international and multicultural work environment.
