Value Smart Trading Limited is engaged in the global trading and lifecycle management of IT assets, with a focus on sourcing, purchasing, remarketing, and responsible disposition of used and surplus IT equipment. We are looking for a procurement/buyer/purchase executive based in South Korea who can identify reliable sources of IT assets, negotiate competitive purchase prices, and build strong relationships with suppliers, businesses, resellers, and other asset holders.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and source used, refurbished, surplus, and end-of-life IT equipment from suppliers across South Korea.
• Develop and maintain a strong network of IT asset suppliers, vendors, dealers, recyclers, distributors, corporates, and liquidation companies.
• Procure IT equipment such as: Laptops & desktops, Servers & storage equipment, Networking equipment, Monitors and peripherals, Enterprise IT hardware, Data-center equipment and Other electronic and technology assets.
• Research market prices and assess the buying value, resale potential, condition, specifications, and demand of IT assets.
• Negotiate purchase prices, payment terms, quantities, logistics, and other commercial terms with vendors.
• Evaluate supplier quotations and prepare cost and pricing comparisons before purchasing.
• Conduct supplier due diligence and maintain an updated supplier database.
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding asset specifications, quantity, quality, valuation, logistics, and expected resale value.
• Track procurement orders from initial sourcing through purchase, collection, and delivery.
• Monitor market trends and pricing movements for used and refurbished IT equipment.
• Identify bulk purchase and liquidation opportunities that can generate profitable resale margins.
• Maintain accurate records of quotations, purchase orders, vendor information, inventory and procurement transactions.
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth collection and movement of purchased assets.
• Support the business in expanding its South Korean supplier and procurement network.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who has experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, trading, or buying, preferably within the technology, electronics, IT hardware, refurbished equipment, or ITAD ecosystem.

Preferred Experience

1. Prior experience in Procurement / Purchasing / Buying / Sourcing.

2. Experience in IT hardware, electronics, refurbished products, e-waste, ITAD, asset recovery, liquidation, or technology trading will be highly preferred.

3. Strong understanding of the South Korean supplier and business market.

4. Existing relationships with IT hardware vendors, corporate sellers, distributors, recyclers, traders, or liquidation companies will be an advantage.

5. Experience negotiating prices and commercial terms with suppliers.

6. Strong understanding of vendor evaluation and procurement processes.

7. Ability to assess the commercial value of used or surplus IT equipment.

8. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

9. Good analytical and numerical skills with the ability to compare costs and identify profitable buying opportunities.

10. Proficiency in Korean and English is preferred, as the role involves communication with local suppliers as well as international stakeholders.
