Job Title:       Robot Operator FCI
Reports to:    Weld Supervisor
Job Type:      Hourly, Non-Exempt

SUMMARY:    Welds materials using a variety of processes – primarily FCAW and GMAW.

REQUIRED COMPENTENCIES

• Loads and unloads parts in jigs for production robot.
• Print Knowledgeable
• Handy with welder tools, grinder, tape measure, caliper etc.
• Performs general daily maintenance task checking welding equipment
• Upkeep and clean work area as needed
• Follow Company safety & security guidelines
• Attendance & Punctuality are essential functions of this job
• Other duties as needed

DESIRED Essential duties and responsibilities

• Operates forklift and other material handling equipment to move materials and manipulate workpiece.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

DESIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience 
• Power Tool handling experience
• Use of barcode and computer equipment to record production operations

DESIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• 2 years’ experience required
• Shop math
• Blueprint reading

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing into and out of equipment; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, fingers and feet to operate tools and equipment; lifting up to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction. The employee is frequently required to stand while performing the duties of this job (approx. 20%) walk (80%) stand. The employee is expected to lift or move materials (75% of workday).

MENTAL DEMANDS
Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; reading and interpreting information; judging distances and accurately; following oral and/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.
