Jailer

Position Summary:

The Jailer performs a variety of detention facility safety and security, administrative, and physical custody of duties associated with the booking, monitoring, safeguarding, control, movement, and release inmates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Booking and processing inmates
• Monitoring facility movement
• Responding to emergencies
• Preparing reports
• Communicating with inmates and staff
• Managing inmate release procedures

• Legal document interpretation
• Law enforcement knowledge

• Computer proficiency

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Jail Certificate
• Valid Nebraska Operator's License
