Janitor

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning and custodial tasks, ensuring a hygienic and well-maintained environment for staff and visitors. Duties

• Perform routine cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and polishing to maintain a professional appearance
• Handle custodial responsibilities including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and surface sanitation
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring proper storage and functionality
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks related to facilities upkeep, including light repairs or reporting larger issues
• Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects as needed, adhering to safety protocols
• Ensure all areas meet health and safety standards by following proper cleaning procedures and safety guidelines

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings
• Knowledge of floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing
• Experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and safety procedures is desirable
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning across all assigned areas

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
