Duties

• Perform routine cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures during cleaning tasks.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, and waste disposal materials in accordance with safe lifting practices.
• Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, restrooms, and kitchen areas regularly.
• Operate cleaning equipment effectively to ensure optimal floor care including buffing, polishing, and stripping floors.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and trash bags to ensure facilities are fully equipped at all times.
• Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries while performing custodial duties.

Skills

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques.
• Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures.
• Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers efficiently.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking, and manual handling tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions clearly and work collaboratively within a team.
• Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices including minor repairs or reporting issues promptly.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
