Duties

• Perform routine cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures during cleaning and sanitation processes.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks following safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness of windows, walls, ceilings, and fixtures to uphold high standards of sanitation and appearance.
• Use custodial equipment efficiently, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, mops, brushes, and other cleaning tools.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as residential painting or light repairs when required.
• Support industrial or commercial cleaning projects by applying specialized techniques for sanitation and floor care.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored in accordance with safety guidelines.

Skills

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures.
• Strong understanding of chemical agent handling safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Skilled in the use of various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and sanitation tools.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy objects or moving supplies.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or residential painting is a plus.
• Knowledge of safety protocol adherence to maintain a hazard-free workplace environment.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
