Janitor – 1st & 2nd Shift

Location: Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF)
Pay Rate: $15.45 per hour

**Must be available to work weekends as scheduled**

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM

Flagship Facility Services is looking for dependable Janitors to join our team at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. In this role, you will help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming areas throughout the airport.

We are looking for reliable team members who take pride in their work, pay attention to detail, and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors using commercial cleaning equipment.
• Clean and maintain carpeted and non-carpeted areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and urinals.
• Refill restroom dispensers and supplies as needed.
• Clean break rooms, lunchrooms, sinks, counters, tables, chairs, and appliances.
• Dust and clean desks, tables, furniture, ledges, partitions, and other surfaces.
• Clean glass doors and interior windows as assigned.
• Spot-clean carpets, walls, floors, doors, and other surfaces.
• Perform periodic cleaning such as dusting vents, blinds, high ledges, and other areas.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Keep the janitor's closet clean, organized, and properly stocked.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report any equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Follow daily assignments and instructions from the supervisor.
• Follow all company, client, airport, and safety procedures.
• Attend required safety meetings and training.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is helpful but not required.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to complete required training and safety meetings.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach.
• Climb stairs and occasionally use ladders.
• Push, pull, and maneuver cleaning equipment.
• Use hands to operate cleaning tools and equipment.
• Lift and move up to approximately 30 pounds of equipment, cleaning supplies, and trash.
• Perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced airport environment.
• Work may take place in office, public, and service areas.
• Regular exposure to cleaning products, dust, odors, fumes, and moderate noise.
• Safety equipment may be required for certain tasks.
• Flagship provides required safety training.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to successfully complete required airport security screening and background requirements.
