Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure our spaces are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
• Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, following all chemical handling safety procedures
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners to maintain high standards of cleanliness and floor care
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment
• Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution
• Follow all safety protocols during custodial activities to ensure personal safety and that of others in the workplace

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques for various surfaces including floors, windows, and fixtures
• Experience handling cleaning chemicals safely and effectively
• Knowledge of custodial equipment operation such as floor buffers and carpet cleaners
• Background in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is advantageous
• Customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices

Pay: Up to $17.00 per hour
