Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
• Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure environment.
• Conduct custodial tasks including dusting, trash removal, window cleaning, and sanitation of high-touch surfaces.
• Operate cleaning machinery and equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, and facilities upkeep to support overall building maintenance.
• Lift heavy items safely during cleaning or maintenance activities, following proper lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies inventory, and safety compliance documentation.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial or residential cleaning and custodial work with a strong understanding of janitorial procedures.
• Skilled in handling chemical agents safely and following all chemical handling safety procedures.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors using appropriate equipment.
• Ability to operate various cleaning tools and machinery such as floor buffers, vacuums, and steam cleaners effectively.
• Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices when moving heavy objects or supplies.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including basic repairs, painting, and general upkeep to support a clean environment.

Pay: $23.83 - $28.69 per hour
