Janitor

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness. Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas
• Handle chemical agents safely while using cleaning supplies and equipment, following all safety protocols and handling procedures
• Operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and polishers to maintain floors in pristine condition
• Conduct sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas ensuring compliance with health standards
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, and residential painting as needed
• Properly lift heavy objects using safe lifting practices to move furniture or cleaning supplies without injury
• Maintain cleanliness logs and report any facility issues or safety hazards promptly

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation (including floor buffers), and chemical handling safety procedures
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper safety practices
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and safety protocols
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety guidelines

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
