Janitor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including floor care and industrial cleaning, while adhering to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Perform floor care tasks such as buffing, mopping, and vacuuming to ensure surfaces are spotless.
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify cleaning needs and report any maintenance issues.
• Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings as needed.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments when necessary.
• Follow established procedures for cleaning hazardous materials or spills.

Experience

• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is beneficial.
• Experience in porter services or residential painting can enhance candidacy.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
