Janitor

Overview

Join our growing team as part of our Janitorial staff and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at our newest commercial facility in Romulus, MI. We are looking to fill a 1st shift and 2nd shift position at a warehouse location close to the airport. Start times are reasonably flexible and we can work with you to come up with a shift that works with your schedule.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using various cleaning equipment such as autoscrubbers and vacuums.
• Handle chemical agents safely for cleaning, sanitation, and disinfecting tasks, adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness by emptying trash receptacles, restocking supplies, and ensuring all designated areas meet sanitation standards.
• Operate cleaning machinery efficiently while following safety protocol adherence to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests or concerns from staff or management.

Requirements

• Custodial or janitorial experience in commercial settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and custodial equipment such as autoscrubbers and cleaning tools.
• Ability to handle cleaning chemical agents safely with understanding of chemical handling safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety protocol adherence at all times.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Prior experience in general custodial work is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
