Janitor

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across our facility. This role involves ensuring a hygienic environment for staff and visitors by performing routine cleaning tasks, maintaining various areas including workout spaces, bathrooms, locker rooms, and common areas. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to perform facilities maintenance effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation duties by cleaning workout equipment, machines, weights, and accessories in the gym area.
• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, locker rooms, sauna, and pool areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Clean various flooring types including carpet, tile, and wood floors through sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
• Clean showers, toilets, and other restroom facilities regularly to uphold health standards.
• Ensure all gym surfaces are sanitized and organized for optimal safety and appearance.
• Assist with minor facilities maintenance as needed to support a safe and functional environment.
• Provide friendly customer service by addressing any cleaning or facility-related concerns from staff or visitors.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and lifting cleaning supplies.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards.
• Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to complete daily cleaning routines.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is a plus.

Schedule

• Evenings and weekend shifts available
• Full or part time shifts available

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
