Janitor

**Job Summary:**Responsible for providing high-quality janitorial services as directed to ensure all contractual requirements are met. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Cleans and services private restrooms, holding cells, lunchrooms, interior inspection, booths and offices in all departments to meet contractual standards/requirements and maintain them presentable.
• Maintains custodian closets/ company van in clean and orderly array to ensure easy access and accounting of supplies and equipment.
• Dust-mopping designated areas and performing spot cleaning as needed.
• Collecting and disposing of solid waste in accordance with site procedures.
• Vacuuming all carpeted areas and dusting furniture and fixtures.
• Replenishing restroom and supply dispensers as required.
• Policing all assigned areas to maintain cleanliness and readiness.
• Follows all company safety processes and procedures and demonstrates proper use of safety equipment. May be required to perform street-sweeping duties in accordance with contract requirements and as otherwise assigned.
• Other duties may be assigned by supervisor or manager to meet contract requirements.

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience relative field.

Minimum Experienced Required: Minimum six (6) months janitorial experience. This experience requirement is waived for individuals with disabilities.

Skills: Success in this role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and time-management skills. Applicants must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English in a clear and professional manner. Excellent active listening, customer service, and collaboration skills are essential for interacting with other employees and the public. Candidates should also demonstrate strong self-motivation and the ability to work effectively without direct supervision.

Background Investigations: Must submit all facility/ installation access credentials, for identity verification purposes to receive DBIDS access card. Essential Physical Tasks: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing these duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and is occasionally required to stoop or kneel.
