Position: Janitor, part-time

Schedules: 7:00am - 3:30pm, 1 shift weekday shift per week plus every other weekend.

Pay: $17.50 - $19.70, dependent on experience.

Location: Charlotte, NC 28210

Position Summary:

The Cypress of Charlotte is recruiting for a hospitality focused cleaning enthusiast to join our team! The Janitor maintains clean, sanitary, pleasant living environment. Perform housekeeping and cleaning activities within established guidelines

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assumes responsibilities for cleaning member buildings, hallways, stairwells, windows, recycle rooms, elevators and lobbies.
• Cleans rest rooms, storerooms and assigned common areas.
• Mixes chemicals as necessary.
• Cleans floors, furnishings, walls, woodwork and specified equipment.
• Dusts, sweeps, dry and wet mops, waxes and buffs.
• Vacuums and shampoos carpets and rugs.
• Cleans and polishes glass panels, doors and partitions.
• Empties and washes waste baskets, trash containers and ashtrays.
• Disinfects and deodorizes as directed.
• Maintains department vehicles and equipment.
• Empties trash receptacles in and around buildings.
• Moves furniture and performs exterior cleaning tasks.
• Makes small repairs in residences, laundry and equipment.
• Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly condition.

Qualifications:

• Ability to count and perform simple mathematics to insure proper inventory levels.t.
• Must have valid driver’s license and maintain “clean” driving record.
• Pleasant, tactful, courteous, and cooperative with both members and other employees.
• Makes small repairs in residences, laundry and equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
