Janitor/Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
• Clean carpets using specialized equipment such as carpet extractors or steam cleaners to remove stains and dirt
• Restock supplies in restrooms and break areas to ensure availability of essentials like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Follow safety protocols during all cleaning procedures to prevent accidents and ensure environmental compliance
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning tasks completed and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
• Use environmentally friendly cleaning products whenever possible to support sustainability initiatives

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques
• Knowledge of floor care methods including buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing surfaces
• Ability to operate carpet cleaning machines safely and effectively
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality standards in cleanliness and hygiene
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts
• Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving cleaning equipment throughout the day
• Familiarity with environmental services practices and safety regulations related to custodial work

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
