Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout our facility. This vital role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that all areas are hygienic, organized, and well-maintained. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across various areas of the facility
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely following established chemical handling safety procedures
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools to maintain floors and surfaces
• Conduct sanitation procedures in restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch areas to ensure compliance with health standards
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through buffing and floor care techniques to preserve their appearance and safety
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting repair needs or hazards promptly
• Adhere to industrial cleaning standards when working in large-scale or specialized environments
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests or concerns from staff or visitors

Skills

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning practices
• Skilled in the use of various cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial vacuums
• Strong understanding of chemical agent handling safety procedures and sanitation standards
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety compliance
• Good communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service interactions
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues
• Ability to follow safety protocols rigorously while working independently or as part of a team

Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
