Janitor/Cleaner

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our facilities maintenance team. Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
• Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools to maintain floors in pristine condition
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination
• Conduct routine sanitation tasks such as trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces
• Assist with light maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, minor repairs, and painting touch-ups as needed
• Follow safety guidelines for heavy lifting and manual handling to prevent injuries during the movement of furniture or cleaning supplies
• Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures
• Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers and scrubbers
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on sanitation standards and safety protocols
• Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary
• Basic facilities maintenance skills such as minor repairs or painting are a plus
• Physical stamina for manual handling tasks including standing for long periods, bending, reaching, and lifting heavy objects

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week
