Janitor/Cleaner

McLean Rae Janitorial is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Janitorial Technician to provide weekly cleaning services for a Virginia state government office in Marion, VA.

This position is ideal for someone looking for supplemental income with a consistent weekly schedule. All cleaning supplies, equipment, and training will be provided.

Work Schedule

• One cleaning per week
• Approximately 2.5–3.5 hours per visit
• Evening hours after normal business operations or weekends
• Flexible scheduling within contract requirements

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and replace liners
• Vacuum carpeted areas
• Sweep and mop hard floors
• Clean and sanitize restrooms
• Clean breakroom/kitchenette
• Dust furniture, desks, and surfaces
• Clean interior glass
• Restock supplies as needed
• Lock and secure the facility after cleaning
• Report maintenance or safety concerns

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Dependable attendance
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Previous janitorial experience preferred but not required

Background Check

Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a criminal background check in accordance with the requirements of the Commonwealth of Virginia contract.
