Janitor/Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
• Maintain floors through buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to ensure a professional appearance
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, break rooms, and common areas following health standards
• Conduct detailed cleaning of windows, fixtures, furniture, and equipment to uphold high standards of cleanliness
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs when necessary
• Follow safety procedures and use proper cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or safety hazards promptly

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles preferred; familiarity with commercial cleaning is a plus
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as vacuums, floor buffers, and industrial cleaning equipment
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and safety standards
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods and climbing ladders if needed
• Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts
• Reliable with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
