We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to join our facilities maintenance team. Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners to maintain floors and carpets in pristine condition.
• Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation duties, following all chemical handling safety procedures.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture, supplies, and cleaning materials using safe lifting practices.
• Maintain facilities by performing minor repairs, touch-up painting, and general custodial tasks to support overall maintenance efforts.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
• Assist with industrial cleaning projects or residential painting as needed to support broader facilities maintenance.

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and proper use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely and follow chemical handling safety procedures diligently.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks; capable of standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize daily tasks efficiently.
• Customer service mindset to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary.
