Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure all areas are hygienic, well-maintained, and compliant with safety standards. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.

• Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning processes, following established safety procedures and protocols.

• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition.

• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.

• Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces regularly.

• Assist with minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting repairs needed for facilities or equipment.

• Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for staff and visitors.

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings.

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and chemical handling safety procedures.

• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely and efficiently.

• Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and cleanliness standards.

• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks promptly during scheduled shifts.

• Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude when interacting with staff or visitors.

Pay: $12.86 - $15.54 per hour
