Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure all areas are hygienic, well-maintained, and visually appealing. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely in accordance with established safety protocols and handling procedures.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools to maintain floors and surfaces.
• Conduct detailed sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces to ensure compliance with health standards.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to maintenance teams.
• Follow safety protocols during heavy lifting or manual handling activities to prevent injuries.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper storage and usage at all times.

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care including buffing and polishing, and sanitation standards.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely following safety procedures for chemical handling safety.
• Experience with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and related tools.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude when interacting with staff or visitors.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
