We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Handle chemical agents safely by following all chemical handling safety procedures and protocols
• Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial equipment to maintain floor care standards
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices for moving supplies, furniture, or equipment as needed
• Maintain sanitation by disinfecting surfaces, waste removal, and ensuring compliance with health standards
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting to support overall building upkeep
• Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment

Skills

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques
• Strong understanding of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools effectively
• Excellent manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices for heavy objects or supplies
• Customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed
• Experience in facilities maintenance or general upkeep tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
• Knowledge of safety protocol adherence and proper use of cleaning chemicals to ensure a safe environment for all
