Janitor/Cleaner

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
• Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, following proper chemical handling safety procedures
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in pristine condition
• Conduct sanitation of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure compliance with health standards.
• Follow safety protocol adherence during all cleaning activities, including heavy lifting and manual handling practices to prevent injuries
• Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care (including buffing), and sanitation standards
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely and follow chemical handling safety procedures
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums
• Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy objects
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Good communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude
