Janitor/Cleaner

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without hazards.
• Conduct custodial duties including cleaning restrooms and ensuring common areas are tidy and sanitary.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks to prevent injuries.
• Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall building upkeep.

Requirements

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the proper use of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while practicing safe lifting practices.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Good communication skills with a customer service-oriented attitude when interacting with staff or visitors.

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 30.0 per week
