Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean and safe environment across our facilities. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks, managing supplies, and ensuring that all areas are hygienic and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will be responsible for keeping our premises tidy, organized, and welcoming for employees and visitors alike.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to ensure cleanliness of manufacturing facility restrooms, front office restrooms and warehouse restrooms as well as floors and walls.
• Empty all trash receptacles throughout the plant.
• Maintain an inventory of janitorial supplies, monitoring stock levels, and notifying management when supplies need replenishment.
• Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Ensure restrooms are sanitized and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Keep floors, windows, furniture and fixtures clean and in good condition.
• Follow established safety procedures to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning activities.
• Clean break room and front office kitchen, microwaves, sinks and floors.
• Dusting and vacuuming front offices weekly.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Reliable work ethic with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Able to lift up to 50lbs .
• Able to operate a lift truck safely.
• Reliability once schedule is set.
• Must have protective eyewear on in the plant at all times.

Pay: $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
