Janitor/Cleaner

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely, following proper chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors and surfaces in excellent condition.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
• Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution.
• Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for all staff and visitors.

Experience

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and chemical agents handling is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical handling and heavy lifting practices is essential.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
