Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and using appropriate protective equipment.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to ensure optimal floor care and maintenance.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces regularly.
• Support facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues for prompt resolution.
• Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues at all times.

Skills

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures.
• Skilled in handling chemical agents safely and understanding chemical handling safety procedures.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely and efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed.
• Experience in facilities maintenance or general upkeep tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.
• Ability to follow detailed safety protocols and maintain high standards of sanitation consistently.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 30.0 per week
