Janitorial Cleaning Coverage Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking reliable and professional Independent Contractors to join our commercial cleaning team. This opportunity is primarily for commercial cleaning coverage, with additional opportunities for post-construction cleaning projects as they become available.

Pay: $20–$35/hour, depending on the assignment and scope of work.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence
• Conduct sanitation tasks including trash removal, surface disinfection, and restroom maintenance to ensure a hygienic environment
• Utilize custodial experience and heavy lifting techniques to move furniture or equipment safely while following safe lifting practices.

Qualifications

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience with a strong understanding of commercial cleaning standards
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and the safe handling of chemical agents
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools effectively
• Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
• Familiarity with safety protocols related to chemical handling safety procedures and general workplace safety guidelines
• Prior experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards
