Shared Hospital Services is looking for a Janitorial position in Portsmouth, Va. This position is primarily Sunday night through Thursday morning, and occasional Saturdays. 3rd Shift- Sunday PM through Thursday AM (10pm-630am) occasional Saturdays as needed

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Overview: This position is responsible for general cleaning of the building as well as maintaining a hygienically clean work environment in areas where there is direct contact with clean textiles. Other tasks include cleaning restrooms, break rooms, plant 'blow-down' and fire prevention measures.

Minimum Requirements:

Associate must be able to follow instructions and to interact appropriately with coworkers, management, vendors, and guests.

• Associate must be able to stand/walk 100% of the scheduled work day

• Associate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Associate must be willing to handle potentially infectious materials and to work in unfavorable conditions such as hot and cold temperatures.

• Associate must be able to work overtime and weekends as required by the business.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Complete all tasks assigned to each area of the plant as outlined on the daily cleaning schedules.
• Keeps plant, outside building perimeters, restrooms, lunchroom and offices clean.
• Collects and empties trash.
• Blows lint from ceilings, overhanging pipes, etc.., walls and equipment: sweeps floors.
• Refills hand soap and paper towel dispensers.

All other duties as may be assigned by management.
